Fall Events along the Whiskey Rebellion Trail are finally making a comeback, and now is the perfect time to stop into a distillery and warm yourself up. We rounded up events happening all along the trail in celebration of this season, and because history is a big part of our trail, there are several kid friendly events included! Read on and start planning your fun fall adventures.

Anytime this season – Stop by The Cookie Cottage, which is brand new in West Overton Village! All your fall cookies and goodies are stocked here. Plus, it’s the perfect scenery for a stroll while you eat. 


  • Rowhouse Spirits will be launching their new spirit, Wendigo. This gin is distilled from rye, flavored with juniper and will remind you of walking alone in the deep dark woods… in the best way. Get your bottle at the East Falls Farmers Market from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Or, preorder your bottle here.  
  • A Revolutionary HalloWeekend is being held at the Museum of the American Revolution. Hear spooky stories from the Revolutionary War and learn how early Americans carved turnips – not pumpkins – to ward away evil spirits.   • The Kingfly Annual All Hallows’ Eve BOOO-zy Bash is happening! Each ticket includes guaranteed admission, a special welcome cocktail, light fare, treats, and raffle ticket for Kingfly goodie basket. Enjoy spooky Kingfly decor and wicked beats from DJ KB to keep the ghostly vibes goin’ BUMP into the night. Social distancing and health precautions will be observed! 
  • Quantum Spirits Jazz Session is Halloween themed! The tunes start at 5pm and your $5 cover directly supports the musicians. Make your reservation at events@quantumspirits.com to guarantee your table. You can also BYOBlanket to be extra cozy during the show!
  • Trick or Treating at Mount Vernon will take place from 1 – 5 p.m. with 18th-century entertainment and activities! Upon exit of the estate, each participant will receive a bag of candy. Costumes with masks are encouraged!

November 1Twilight at Mansfield is a depiction of an evening in early November of 1794, after the troops were in the area, ready to quell the Whiskey Rebellion. Check it out at Oliver Miller Homestead where admission is $1 to enjoy the festivities from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. 

November 2 – Boardroom Spirits is celebrating the 2nd Annual Spirit of Landsdale Day! Unfortunately, not everyone can gather at the distillery, but a virtual event is being offered instead. Check here for more details. 

November 6 – Tenth Ward Distilling Company welcomes everyone for their Friday Night Live series. Wild cocktails will be served. Live music will take place. And a good time is guaranteed. 

November 7

  • Enjoy an exclusive Insider Tour of Meadowcroft Rockshelter with James M. Adovasio, Ph.D., who achieved international acclaim with his archaeological excavation of the Rockshelter when work first began at the site in 1973. This is brought to you in part by our friends at the John Heinz History Center
  • Old Line Spirits’ Fall Fling will begin at noon on November 7th and will feature an autumn whiskey release! Hot cocktails will be available along with food from Fuzzies, a new restaurant venture locally owned and operated by the Vecchiolla Bros.

November 15

  • Eat, Drink & Shop: Clean Plate Club will be at Triple Sun Spirits in Newtown, so come on by and enjoy the local ingredients, delicious drinks and time with your neighbors.
  • Make Your Own Rocks Glass at Sagamore Spirit Distillery from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The crew at McFadden Art Glass will teach you the process of making your very own rocks glass by glassblowing. Then, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of various Sagamore Spirit expressions. Each guest will make one rocks glass. Make sure you get your ticket! 

November 14Custom Bottle Engraving is happening at MISCellaneous Distillery. Looking for the perfect holiday gift? Don’t worry – you just found it! Visit the tasting room on this day, purchase a bottle and donate $5 to The Arc of Carroll County.
