About the Whiskey Rebellion Trail

The Whiskey Rebellion Trail is made up of four cities, including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington, and Baltimore, in addition to towns and rural areas in-between. It was created by a group of craft distillers and visitors’ organizations throughout the region to highlight the dynamic contributions of the region to the history of American spirits and the exciting rise of award-winning craft distilleries in the area over the last several years.

The trail was developed as a collaborative effort among a dozen destination marketing organizations (DMOs), as well as dozens of craft distilleries and cultural institutions throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The trail is governed by an Advisory Committee of funding DMOs and participating distilleries. Questions about Trail development can be directed to the Advisory Committee, Cara Webster at clwebster29@gmail.com.

Q: How does it work?

On the Whiskey Rebellion Trail website, you can choose from a variety of curated passes that spotlight four regions based on geography and history or choose a comprehensive pass that includes stops in all four regions. Passes are delivered instantly to your phone via text message or email with nothing to download. The message allows you the option of adding the pass to your mobile phone home screen for easy access. Complete your pass by visiting the included distilleries and/or museums.

Q: How do the participating distilleries and museums know I am exploring the trail?

The distilleries and museums are excited to welcome you. Simply show a ticketing agent or an employee your pass and they will redeem it. If you are having trouble redeeming your pass, contact support@bandwango.com.

Q: Can I purchase a pass at a distillery or museum?

Passes are available through the Whiskey Rebellion Trail website only. Once you purchase a pass a message will be sent to your phone (via text or email) that will allow you to instantly access the passport.
